Itinerary: 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Your adventure begins with an early departure from Marrakech, heading south toward the majestic High Atlas Mountains. You cross the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), stopping along the way to admire panoramic views, terraced valleys, and traditional Berber villages carved into the mountains.

Arrive at the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most impressive examples of earthen architecture. You explore the ancient ksar, walk through its narrow alleys, and learn about its historical role as a caravan trading post.

After lunch, you continue through Ouarzazate, known for its film studios and desert landscapes, then drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing palm oases and fortified villages before reaching the scenic Dades Valley.
